Problems Viewing Blackboard When Using
Pop-up Blocking software

You may experience problems with the Discussion Board and other Blackboard features if you have pop-up blocker software enabled on your computer.

You may need to disable the blocking software
Some popup blocker software includes a feature that allows you to disable its functionality for specific web sites; try putting Blackboard's address (URL) there. Or you may need to disable the popup blocker software to view the Blackboard site successfully.

If you do not know how to disable your window popup blocking software, please check the manual or directions that came with the product. You can also obtain help from the company's support department.

Some firewalls block popup windows
Note that some firewalls (such as Norton Internet Security) include a window popup blocking feature. You should be able to disable this feature if it prevents you from viewing the Blackboard site. Contact the company's support department for instructions.

Some ISPs block popup windows
Some ISPs (Internet Service Providers) have a window popup blocking feature enabled by default. You will need to disable this feature or disable it for the Blackboard web site. Contact your ISP support department for instructions.
